I'm just wondering what are their differences?
GJJ are the family members of Gracie's that run with the last name right , or is it that BJJ is like an offshoot from GJJ .

There was another thread about this. But In short The Gracie faimily first learned JJ and there style spread through Brasil. So essntially GJJ and BJJ are the same but ofcourse differnt teacher may have a slightly different empahsis of sport vs SD training

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu vs. BJJ
All BJJ lineage is from the Gracie family. Just as all Judo lineage is from Kano. A student of Kano went to Brasil and taught the Gracie's JJ/Judo circa early 1920's. The gracies established vale Tudo to test thier art and dojo to teach thier art as they learned from Maeda. I believe the Gracie's a trademark and copyright on the Gracie name so no one unauthorized can call thier style GRACIE JJ so everything is called Brasilian jiujitsu instead.

People who don't want to pay Rorion use the BJJ name, that's the difference. Even his own brother Rickson's students use BJJ. Rorion claimed he was doing it to protect the name, but then took his own family members to court demanding payment for use of the name in the US. It's a money thing.

GJJ = BJJ
GJJ = BJJ Just as Renzo Gracie JJ = BJJ and Rickson Gracie JJ = BJJ and Caesar Gracie JJ = BJJ and Royce Gracie JJ = BJJ Machado JJ = BJJ and so on and so on ... Gracie JJ is Rorion's "brand" of BJJ, however its all BJJ.

They brand it with their own name to differentiate their teaching methods and such however, like I said in another post, BJJ is BJJ. All the techniques are the same.
It would be if I taught Northern Mantis Style (for example) and called it Adam Liu Northern Mantis Style. Doesn't make the art different, just a slight variation in the name.
