Thumbs down 1st semi serious injury

Hello folks, I havent posted anything on the site since my Mkimono vs. Koral gi question but decided to share my lil injury with you guys.

I was going for I believe is called a ""upa"" (just in case im wrong about the name let me explain, its were you are mounted & trap the guys arm, trap his leg on the other side & bridge & twist to roll him on his back & be in his guard) I was grappling with a fellow student when he mounted me, (I had been doing practice drills on my own for the ""upa"") everything went great, the upa felt really smooth & possibly the best one i've ever preformed as i sent the guy over. Then it happend, half way threw it & almost in his guard I heard a pop & stopped midway & wasnt able to get him completly over i finally tapped as the pressure from his legs starting hurting the rib that had just popped. He let me go, asked if i was o.k. I signaled yes & we began to roll again. I finished the class. The next day my rib was bruised & had pains when i would stretch it or lean to one side to far...

Im out for three classes, taking about a week break & will return on mon. Its been a couple days & the rib almost feels 80 % but when i stretch i can still feel its not all healed. My instructor already told me that he has had the same injury a few times & that he will have me roll with some lighter guys on mon. Just thought i'd share....

Doesn't sound too bad. I've seen this before at the gym. Guys usually recover quickly. No worries.
