| Registered User | It depends of what your background and goals. I did that after college, I knew somone that introduced me to the head coach. So I would contact the athletic deptments and ask. The problem will be if you just want to crosstrain and do not have a good wreslting background it could be detrimental to the wrestlers training becuase you won't be able to keep pace. I would check the community colleges first DIII, DI-II it is less likely. But I would still try it can't hurt, the conditionining will be invaluable for any sport you are goining into.

![]() | Sounds like IPON was rather fortunate, most teams will not allow you to do something like that. They could have insurance concerns, and problems with someone interfereing with the real goal, making a winning wrestling team. Depending on where you are there might be some wrestling clubs around, do some searching on the internet. Try this link. http://www.wrestlingsbest.com/wreslink1.html#cl It's a pretty good listing. And check with the martial arts schools in your area, some are starting to run wrestling seminars. |

![]() | I know a couple of guys who did train with a Junior Colege Team. The main thing is the insurance deal, but I'm sure if you asked a handful of colleges, for sure one of them would let you train with them. You can even talk to the athletic director at the school to try and create a weekly club for training submissions/jiujitsu and/or wrestling. Don't be afraid to ask though! |
