![]() | I don't think Arona or Quinton can take Vanderlei. Arona's style is a little too passive compared to Silva which means he's gonna eat lots of blows. Say what you want about Quinton being tired from fighting Chuck last time, I think Silva will destroy him again. Kondo matches up better with Silva, IMO. He is also a dangerous striker as well as good wrestler. He KO'd Frank Shamrock when they were both younger, he destroyed Saulo in a few seconds, and he embarrassed Mario Sperry a few months back. I remember at one point Mario was holding Kondo's foot in the air and trying desparately to get him down while Kondo just hopped around on his other foot. Kondo did what Igor V couldn't do to Sperry, punched and kneed him and smashed his face. Kondo's problem is that he isn't always consistent, he's lost to lesser fighters before but on a good night I think he could beat anyone. The problem is that Silva will come in weight about ten pounds more than Kondo, coupled with the fact that Silva will have cut weight to make 205 while Kondo could be 185 if he tried to cut weight the way a western fighter does. I think Silva will beat him too but Kondo has a better chance of winning this than either of the offical contenders. I also think Little Noguiera, Vitor, and Couture would give Silva a very tough time, might even beat him. I don't think Lidell would match up so well with him, those looping clumsy punches and sprawling ability wouldn't work against Silva's superior striking. |

![]() | Kondo is definitely the underdog in this fight but he stands a chance of giving Silva his toughest fight in a long time. I think Silva wins by KO still.

![]() | Sure Kondo can stop Wanderlei, the same way I could stop him... with a baseball bat. But since he cannot take a louisville slugger into the ring his chances look a little grimmer. |
