(yeah I'm posting relevant material We all should in some way, shape or form.....even though mine suck I'm sure others can come up with better ones)

What is more appealing to you? The fighters who win always without a doubt, or the fighters who give their all, show their fighting spirit, but end out with a loss.

I'm talking about people like Oleg Taktarov, etc.
Koichiro Kimura (no relation to Mas) fought in the second Vale Tudo in Japan with Rickson. He was an amateur and this was his first NHB style match. He gave a good fight against Todd Hayes, actually dominated him for a while, but got too nervous and caught in a guillotine. He was requested to fight in the "loser's" braket, and beat another American rather easily. HE then had to go DIRECTLY to fighting Rickson Gracie after he once again had a chance to do well in the tournament. He got a one minute rest period, and fought Rickson only to be choked out.
He was a young kid, and I wonder if any of you admire that kind of fighting spirit even though it does not win out in the end.
What's your thoughts?

I admire the fighting spirit of anyone that just gets in there and fights. That's really what it's all about anyway isn't it? To find out what you are made of through hard athletics can be a very spiritual and enlightening event in your life. I get tired of people calling other fighters cowards for not accepting EVERY challenge (esp. when it comes to Rickson). They had the guts to get in there in the first place, and that takes a lot of will. Usually the hardest part of fighting is not fighting your opponent, but fighting yourself.

Thumbs up

If you give your all you are truly a winner,a loser is one who doesn't try at all.

I respect the one who does not give up without a fight!

Enson was my favorite "underdog" against Vovchanchin. Also Sak. seemed to be the Undergdog alot in the begining when he just started to fight against the Gracies and the Brazilian fighters. And even today people say "Oh Sak. would lose against a good wrestler" That guy gets no credit sometimes.
