In an attempt to inject some positivity into my Internet-based existence, I respectfully suggest that everyone who is registered at the OG/UG go congratulate Elvis Sisnoic for his fantastic performance against Frank Shamrock.
For those who don't know, Elvis just took Frank the distance in their MMA fight at K1, and barely lost a 1-0 decision that many feel should have been a draw. He is over at the OG/UG now saying nothing but good things about Frank. He is a credit to our sport. I didn't see the fight, but from what I understand Elvis matched Frank in stand-up and submission skills, but got taken down a few times and had Frank on top most of the fight, hence the loss. No biggie, considering what Frank does to most of his opponents. |

In other words, go over to the UG and tack another ass kissing post to a way too long thread. I've got better things to do than kiss the ass of every fighter that posts over there. BFD.

I dont normally kiss ass over there but I was genuinely pleased that Elvis did so well. Mainly because before the fight most UG members were sceptical about Elvis ability and were treating the fight like Frank was fighting a Tomato can. I have followed Elvis' career for a number of years now and I knew he was ready to surprise Frank and give him a tough fight.
Not bad for a guy with a 9 to 5 job that can only train part time.

I know what you are talking about regarding the ass kissing at the UG (Miyagi sez the same thing)... and it does get old. But Elvis is not just a fighter, he is Net Brethren. He is almost always online (when does he train???), and he posts mostly on the OTHERGROUND. He is just a regular guy, with exceptional skill. A good friend of mine palled up with Elvis at the 1st ADCC and sez only great things about him.
