Is he still fighting in Pride? Reason I ask is cus I'm in Japan in 2005, I'm going from 26th April to 6th March and was hoping to see a Pride event at the Tokyo Dome.
Note - I have zero info on the pride fights in Japan or the dates so I'm hoping there are some events on at that time.
Thanx in Adv.

Rickson hasn't had a fight since 2000. He's 46 now, so I doubt he will fight any more. It's a shame he didn't have more fights, he was always interesting to watch.
I wish I had more details for you..but I have heard it confirmed that he has signed to fight in 2005..pretty amazing

Do you relize that if that is really his record he would have had to fight in 124 matches a year since the time he was six. If you want to throw the wins he had when he was 6 on his resume that cool but i'm not that nieve.Originally Posted by JaredExtreme
Rickson is fiightng in an upcoming Pride. I believe it is octber, but I am not sure. He is training with Rorion or Royler to get ready I cannot remember which But I will fnd out and post. Also last I heard his record was in the upper 700 like 780's for wns with the one loss.

Dragon,
Where in Japan will you be, and for how long? If you`re in the Tokyo area, you should check out Axis Jiujitsu, where I train. The head-instructor got his black belt from Rickson.

Here is a very interesting thread on another forum about Rickson's record. Read the post by gusano. Be prepared it's very long.

Concerning Rickson's record: I found this list a while back and posted it on my site. It is far too long to post here.

I'd be on that list too, but I've been ducking Rickson for the last 20 years of my life.

I'll be in Tokyo, in late March 2005, If I'm close by I will definitely have a look. But I will travelling all over Japan (12 day trip), so hopefully I will see you there.Originally Posted by aseepish
