Default Casting in Fisticuffs

Scott Sonnon explains in Fisticuffs that "casting" strikes can be used for striking and grappling simultaneously without distinction. Can anyone explain this?

Thats a good question, and I think I might know the answer...However, I don't have the fisticuffs video, YET. It is on my to buy list of RMax.tv products. After I buy body flow, and a set of clubbells. Sooo, being as I don't have the video and can't relate that statement in context, I am not 100% certain I can answer this properly, and your best bet would be to gp to at www.circularstrengthmag.com and register on the discussion forum. Introduce yourself to the rest of the tribe at the welcome mat then pose your question to Scott or one of the other coaches. I can tell you though that from my humble and recent experience. I have learned that some movements have several properties. That expression and that wave energy you create in casting is boundless, and the more you play with it, explore the properties of it, you'll see other places in your practice where it comes into play. In fact, I saw a great example yesterday of what you ask. We trained just 10 minutes trying to get me to see that little piece. LOL. If you post this question up at Scott's then I'll elaborate more ok.
