![]() | Hey I'm bored. This is from a guy supposedly called Scot Davis who does "combat jiu-jitsu" (no relation to Walt Bayless I don't think) what do you think? I posted a response too. (hehe)(Scot Davis's post) I got an e-mail yesterday about someone claiming they wanted me to fight them, because they were pissed at what I had to say on this forum. So I replied and it turned out he trained at a Bujinkan dojo near where I live in Maine. Anyway, we decided to meet at a park near us and fight. He showed up with 3 friends and I showed up with some friends of mine that take American Combat Jiujitsu with me. He held a shodan in the Bujinkan, and I guess he was't even a instructor yet, but he was a rather short skinny guy. We started and I went for a shoot towards his feet, and I started to take him off balance, when he did this backward roll and flipped me over and he landed on top of me. Now he was on top, and I felt trapped, so I did a ground dismount in which he rolled out of also. We ended up standing again, so I took a swing at his face, and he punched my arm on the inside of my elbow, which hurt like hell. He followed up with a punch to my face and a shoulder armbar which took me back on the ground. I was starting to feel like I couldn't do anything to this guy, when I finally hit him in the jaw while he was on top. Let's just say that was a mistake, because he got pissed and started hammering me with no place to go. His friends and my friends pulled us off each other, and the fight was over. We are now friends, and we decided to squash any beef we might of had. Anyway my views have changed and I now have respect for the Bujinkan fighting style. This guy wasn't even a instructor yet, and he was good. He moved in a very calm relaxed way, that almost looked like he wasn't trying. Scince then we decided to get together once in a while and train. I am really interested in training in the Bujinkan after I woke up to the truth. I guess the pictures that I posted do the system little justice, even though he did get into ichimonji no kamae, and his arm was out there for me to grab, actually grabbing it was nearly impossible. Anyway, just thought I would report my embarrassing butt kicking. Scott Davis to this message. Ryu posted Dec 15 2000 19:43:41 GMT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hehe, sounds like you gotta work on your grappling skills little buddy It sounds like you don't have a good shoot. Clinching is a safer bet in the street because you can make contact with the entire body in preparations for suplexes or ushiro goshi type throws. I'd suggest some wrestling/judo and BJJ training in your repoitire...but I have a feeling this isn't real, and is another guy doing the Koga/Bujinkan thing again. Take care Ryu to this message. a new message. to AshidaKim.com.

![]() | duchman Ninja shall not kill Ninja. There just arent enough of us left. This account sounds like so many I have heard in the past. The guys at American Combat JJ are very very talented sports fighters. A Ninja however was at that sport level as a young child. He has since stepped up to the level beyond sport fighting and is an expert in real world combat. If this fight were to take place 100 times I believe the Ninja would be victorious 99 of those times. We almost must allow that 1 percent for the unexpected.

![]() | Shimora, are all advanced ninjutsu students called ninjas or is that a special right that only a few posses. The reason I'm asking is because a guy at my dojo claims to be a ninja, but won'y say what style he practices, he's a novice boxer but thats all i know... he's probably just full of shit. thanks! |
