Default Guy uses sword to fight off gun weilder

http://www.nbc5i.com/news/3859023/detail.html

Dude gets robbed and pistol whipped.

Dude's friend gets to the seen with a samurai sword and closes fast. All guys get injured; unclear if the intruders shot anyone; one of the intruders gets cut up really badly.

Default Knives

The guy had a samaria sword and 10 inch knives (plural)
with only 2 hands, he must have gone crazy on the suspects. To think that he lived through that is amazing. I guess that's one way to teach burglars to pick better targets.

I read somewhere else that a blade wielding person can close andl strike a gun wielding one from a distance of 20 feet in about a second. Its allmost Kamikaze like odds, but I guess this shows it.

They've done thousands upon thousands of tests, the military FBI CIA etc. that a person with a knife can reach and lethally stab a person with a gun from 21 feet, although now I believe it's 30 feet.

That test is usually accounting for the time it takes the officer to unholster his weapon.

Of course.

Still, getting a shot off even in that range is not the easiest thing under the a-dump. Added to the fact that police, FBI etc. are trained for this, the average civilian won't even have his firearm ready.
