MMA Headgear

I searched for similar posts but could not find any (if you know of any please let me know..)

Does anyone have any suggestions for headgear to use when sparring MMA? Obviously I am looking for the perfect solution of maximum protection with the least amount of vision blockage, not sure if that is possible but that is why I am making this post

I have used boxing headgear in the past and that seems to suck for even standup sparring with kicks, half the time you don't see any kicks coming from the side until the last second.

I have seen that some amateur MMA events require headgear so there must be something that works for both standup and won't come off when grappling.

Macho Warrior Head Gear is what I'm using right now. It just fits me a little better. The best thing to do is go to one of the larger cities in your area. They will let you try stuff on. TigerClaw makes some pretty good gear to. Different brands seem to fit different people better. This might not be the best gear, its just what I'm wearing right now. It doesnt give any problems with peripheral vision.

Thanks for the info. I have been looking for a good place to buy headgear in the DC area but haven't found any yet. I hate ordering something like that online, kind of hard to tell how it will work until you try it on.

Anyone know of any places to buy headgear in the DC area?
