What happened to Frank Mir?

I was looking at the fight cards for upcoming UFC events and there is a fight for the Interim Heavyweight Championship. Was Frank Mir stripped of the belt or something?

Good question. Sherdog says that Mir was involved in a motorcycle accident, forcing the cancelation of UFC 51. You can get more info at www.sherdog.com.
