I stayed away from this forum 'til I watched Shooto last night. I come back, and to my horror I see one post regarding that event! ONE POST??? GODDAMN! That event was filled with unbelievable upsets and fights. I won't even waste my breath on what I thought about the event.

I gave my thoughts on the shooto event a couple days back....
yeah, I thought it was a killer show (fromthe clips and reports I've seen) and Sakurai is the f**king man right now....KOing Trigg was something that I thought he wouldnt do.....Sato loosing AGAIN to Uno shows us that Uno is just a little badass at 154lbs......also Ray Cooper got sunmitted by Alex Cook(savvy verteran) that was suprising to say the least.... so yes zhoo, why dont you share your thoughts with us

STD: Sakurai was getting his arse handed to him up to that point. I thought he was gonna end up on queer street for sure. He was taking heavy blows from Trigg. The tide turned when Sakurai caught Trigg on his temple w/ a left hook. I bet even Sakurai was surprised from the effect that punch had. Sato loosing AGAIN to Uno shows us that Uno is just a little badass at 154lbs...... Yeah, Sato got Uno's back again, attempting a rear naked. But this time Uno brushed him off and landed a solid blow to Sato's head while Sato was off balance. Sato didn't think he was KO'ed. It was a quick one. Now they're talking about Sato's retirement. He's easily the most explosive NHB fighter in the world. You blink and he'll f*ck your sh*t up. also Ray Cooper got sunmitted by Alex Cook(savvy verteran) that was suprising to say the least.... Surprising? I've never seen anyone submit while sidemounted on an opponent. Cooper was sidemounted when Alex Cook wrapped one arm around his neck. Then Cooper moved a little to ease the pressure... next thing you know, he's f*ckin' tapping! At first I couldn't tell WTF happened, 'cause Cook pushed Cooper off and looked like he was going after him some more. Then I saw the tap in slow motion. Cooper may have lost a couple of marbles from the loss to Trigg. I sh*t you not ladies, there were some bizarre outcomes in this Shooto event. Nogueira sunk in a guillotine once again. But this time his opponent wasn't a pushover like Asahi. Nogueira had a tough time against the guy standing up. It was awesome to see him make his opponent tap. He was being very cautious and fighting a smart fight.

Asahi a pushover? He's drawn against Tatsumi and Roque (who is a legit badass when he's fighting at 140 instead of 155), and beaten Olympic silver medalist Dennis Hall. He's pretty good IMO, and the fact that Nogueira choked him to unconsciousness TWICE is more a testament to Pequeno's skills than Asahi's weakness. Tatsumi is another guy who has serious skills, but also fell prey to the Nogueira guillotine. Nogueira just might be the most dominant fighter in the world.

"He's easily the most explosive NHB fighter in the world." I assume you're talking about Sato... please be more clear next time (lmao).

Awesome event. When do I get a copy, Doodie???
![]() The Cooper tap sounds weird. I am happy that Trigg got a lesson in humility... his post fight interviews usually rub me the wrong way. UFC kicked ass also.
