| Novice | Nobuhiko Takada & Keiji Mutoh vs. Don Frye & Ken Shamrock Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Tokimitsu Ishizawa (Kendo Ka Shin) Shin'ya Hashimoto vs. Gary "Big Daddy" Goodridge Mark Coleman & Mark Kerr vs. Yuji Nagata & Takashi Iizuka Naoya Ogawa vs. Tadao Yasuda Also - Renzo & Ryan Gracie as "The Gracie Twins" will do a tag match Can you guys believe this? Its going to rule to the point where it can't rule anymore. The main event will rock and so will the co-main event. Kendo's pro-wrestling arm bars are not to be ****ed with. Granted, his flying arm-bar off the top rope didn't help him against Ryan Gracie, but who knows in this situation? The rest will probably suck, but suck in a really fun way. Actually, I can't imagine anything involving Big Daddy and and Renzo Gracie sucking; and plus, Kerr and Coleman as a tag team? Jesus, this will be fun

| Novice | Yes, Pro-Wrestling; "Fake Stuff" but not like the WWF. The WWF is garbage aimed at dumb asses...

![]() | Basically its a shoot style match with a fixed outcome. Many times fancy moves such as flying armbars and other realistic "fancy" moves can be seen through out a match. They dont really pull back on punches either.

![]() | What's the sleaze and dumb ass factor of J-pro wrestling? Are their matches more geared towards martial arts or "what hick slept with whose wife",etc like WWF?

![]() | Of all people, I thought you would know Pro-wrestling in Japan the best Ryu. I thought you followed that stuff or knew about from being in Japan? Or were you too busy macking on all the Japanese girls?? ![]() Think of Sakuraba, Inoki and Funaki. Are any of them clowns? I dont follow Japanese Pro Wrestling at all, this is second hand information from various websites and information given to me by other people that follow it. ALL it is an exciting NHB with a fixed outcome. Some fancy moves are seen. Little to no subplots are involved and some rivals are pitted against each other, but they would spice up the show like Satake and Ogawa. That is the extent of the "dumb" factor. The pro-wrestlers are a proud and "honorable" breed in Japan and they dont dwell on stupid plots like "I slept with your sister and so on" They fight. Most of them can hang with real MMA'sts ie Takata if not be one of the best ie. Sak.

![]() | YeLLa, I know of it, but don't follow it, no. ![]() I was always more into the real stuff. To be honest, I didn't really see much of it in Japan. The biggest sport I saw almost all the time was baseball. Sounds like they're a bit more honorable in what you said, does anyone know how to order any of the matches? Or do I have to go to Japan again? Ryu

| Novice | Me myself am a pro-wrestling fan and I used to follow puroresu real closely, and here's the deal... They're not all shoot style, just some feds like the UWF-i and Rings [used to be anyway] and you'll see shoot style wrestlers all over. Theres tons of feds, some with lots of goofiness, some with insane barbwire stuff, some with classic american style [not WWF style, think of an update Lou Thez], or just sport style. A good style is All Japan Pro Wrestling as its realistic in the sense that they hit each other hard and perform suplexes that have really had a toll on the wrestlers. One of the most famous wrestlers in Japan, Mitsaharu Misawa is partially broke down due to suplexes that land him on his head and neck area. In All Japan they have rivalries in the sense that Misawa and Kawada were once tag team partners and are now the two strongest pro-wrestlers in the world fighting each other. They don't grab the mic and yell at each other or anything like that. In New Japan, Antonio Inoki's fed, there is mic grabbing and after match fiascos, but that only makes the match more exciting. A great example would be when Don Frye beat the holly hell out of Fujita [I think some of us on this board know these guys] and did a lot of "unhonorable" things like hold on to submissions after a rope grab. Afterwards Ogawa jumped out of the audience and started a fight with Don Frye for his actions and it turned into a rumble. It was really exciting I thought and really made everyone jump out of their seat. Could New Japan's strongest beat the dirty disrespectful American? They dont' go to the extreme of the WWF and in Japan wrestling isn't considered a joke like it is here and is actually put on sports channels and stuff
