![]() | Sakuraba has beaten his 4th Gracie with relative ease. He has single-handedly become the only man to destroy the Gracie mystique in style, and with flare. What is next? Will Rickson truly fight? Or will Saku be able to live on forever as the man who dethroned the Gracie reign, once again bringing the "ultimate fighting style" back to Japan?

![]() | "That last one doesnt count, Ryan was really injured bad before. Sakuraba had problems with a messed up gracie, do you know how bad Ryan would of kicked his ass if he was 100%??? I say we need a rematch!!" I have a feeling we might be hearing this soon.

![]() | YeLLa were you rooting for Ryan in this one? I didn't stay up for the fight, but from what I heard Ryan posed no threat at all, and Saku rode him like a circus clown. hehe no flame intended Writing like that is fun. Now I know why people do it. Ryu

![]() | As far as Rickson Gracie is concerned I seriously doubt we will see him fight. It's obvious that money and his own machismo pride mean more to him than his family, it's pretty pathetic actually. He watches his little brother who is out weighed by 40 lbs get beat up for 45 minutes and almost get his shoulder ripped off by the same move that finished his father. He then witnesses his other little brother get slapped around humiliated and kicked around for an hour and a half, till he was forced to surrender. Then he witnessed his cousin broken by the same move, "kimurad" again and still nothing from Rickson. Now, anyone one with a little brother out there, imagine you were in his place, imagine that was your little brothers out there fighting for your families honour and getting taken out. I doubt any MAN here would not hesitate to step up. F U C K my business F U C K my seminars, this would become personal really quickly. As a business man Rickson is probably doing the right thing, keeping his mystique in tacked. As a big brother he fails miserably. Blood is thicker than water they say, well for Rickson I guess Money is thicker than both. |

![]() | I don't think it has anything to do with family honor. The Gracies are all grown men and these are not street fights. These guys are professional fighters. I think if Rickson is really worried about money, now is the time for him to step up and fight Sak. Can you imagine the payday that he will get for that fight? I'll bet the promotors are salivating right now. Personally I think Rickson can beat Sak. Not easily but possible. But I don't think he should feel pressured just because his family lost. As an aside, isn't there some bad blood between Rickson and his little brothers?

![]() | this reminds me of when hagler was fighting and people would fight his brother who was in the same weight class and try to humiliate him in order to goad him into defending the title against them. the others are on their own but he and royler seem extremely tight and i am surprised that the royler fight did not force him to step up |

![]() | Although I'm a Sak fan, he can't be considered the undisputed middleweight champion until he fights Tito, F. Shammy, and Silva. No more Gracies - except for Rickson. Tito could give him a lot of trouble and the only one who can beat Sak in my opinion. |

| I'm not sure Rickson should even get a shot at Sak. I mean, what has he done to deserve it? Nothing. Sak should fight an active fighter, not an old man like Rickson. Rickson has had his chances to step up, and declined. I should say that Silva's performance was very impressive. I didn't expect him to win this fight - it sounds like he out-grappled Henderson. Amazing. NOW he has proven himself to me, and taken out one of the few remaining undefeated fighters in MMA. IMO, Kerr does not have the chin or finishing ability to hang with the top Heavyweights. I'm sure someone will make some excuse for him, but he has never convincingly beaten a top Heavyweight. Heck, even Gurgel survived. I hate to say it, but Fujita might be for real. He is undefeated against TOP competition. Can anyone hurt this guy? Coleman, maybe Igor. |
