Considering his best chance to win was a "punchers chance", it really made no sense to fight with a messed up arm. I guess it showed heart, or stupidity, depending on how you look at it. Merry Christmas!

Why did Ryan fight?
If he really was hurt, why did he do it?
Fighters always pull out of fights when they are injured Did he think he could win injured?...
If you ask me he was stupid to fight that day...why not fight Sak when youre 100%
I guess he thought he was being "tough"...
Everything happens for a reason...

He who contemplates the possibility of defeat is but a step away from achieving it....
Perhaps he wasn't hurt at all.

The Bhagavad-Gita
It reminds me of when i was in high school and wasn't able to beat one of my friends in arm wrestling. Not wanting to look like a chicken, I accepted his challenge to arm wrestle in a public setting. I knew I'd probably lose so I just said, "Okay I'll do it even though I kinda injured my wrist in football practice." In reality my wrist was not hurt. It was just an excuse to help save face.
"Son, we're not saying that there's anything wrong with you...but its just that NORMAL boys your age DON'T spend all day lifting weights and learning how to choke people to death!"
If thats true then it makes Ryan AND the Gracies look even worse...
ugh...
Everything happens for a reason...
i'll buy that
