    looking for simple standing submission

Any suggestions for a fun and easy standing submission? The only two I know are a kind of reverse armbar (clamp wrist between jaw and shoulder, pull down with both hands on the extended elbow), and the other is a sort of standing omoplata (snake arm between elbow and torso of the other guy, bring it up and over, pulling his elbow forward and down with both hands).

It isn't for anything serious, I just like horsing around at work and the guys are starting to see that one coming (the second, the first is too easy to hurt someone).

    any ideas?

Practice these with a qualified instructor and at your own risk.

Standing Chicken Wing (or key lock) - An effective standing sub taught in JJJ and hapkido. Position matters. Most people do not see this one coming. Sakuraba pulls this off alot.

Shoulder armbar - use your trap (shoulder) as a point of tourque to apply the arm bar. Requires that the arm be bicep down on your shoulder as you apply pressure to back of the elbow. If you slip a punch and it goes over your shoulder, bingo.

Side standing wrist lock - Hook biceps with partner. Seize the wrist and push the back of his hand toward his shoulder while pressing down on the wrist. Stay beside your partner to keep control and move if he tries to bring his arm around.

Neck crank - Remember to keep your forearm a little above nose level when cross facing otherwise its too close to his mouth.

    These are just a few.

I'm fond of a simple figure four straight (arm) armlock (elbow) from the inside or outside and either arm. Which ever one they give you? Also the standing side strangle with his arm in. (either side) They catch on pretty fast to these too but then you learn to "flow" into a nice ude garami (bent arm lock). Soon as they pull away you've got them! Fun stuff!

See Kansetsuwaza... So many limb destructions, so slow with the typing....

"Judo" Gene has A LOT of the good stuff... The trick is to get them to react to your technique in a way that sets them up for the one you were really trying to get! Good combinations will come to you.

theres a ton of wristlocks too. a real simple one is to bend your attackers hand down, and outward away from his body. i forgot the name of it, buts its pretty devastating.
