Ryan Gracie the best Gracie yet?

Congratulations to Ryan Gracie for doing something his monkey a$$ brothers and cousins couldnt. He went the distance with Sak and he gave Sak a few hard punches to the face. All this despite Doctors orders that he should not fight. Ryan went in with his shoulder all taped up and Sak was a bastid because he keeped attacking that shoulder like a frady cat. Ryan is the new generation of Gracies I look forawrd to seaing him and Ryron and the other yunger Gracies take a front saet while the burnt out bums like Royce, Royler and Renzo take a back seat or retire like they should have years ago,

But those guys are still nothing to sneeze at.

yes i agree that ryan is the man but why the back seat to renzo royce and royler. they are still great renzo the second best to rickson.

No not any more. Renzo has suffered devastating losses in Japan in both RINGS and Pride, he is old man and must retire now. Royce got baked by Sakarubra and he need to retire now also. Like Ralph Gracie, he knew when to quit while he was undefeated. Why must all his brothers ruin the family name by fighting past their prime. When I see Royce and Renzo fight I think of Muhummed Ali when he keep coming back past his prime. Is very sad to see these greate fighters humiliate themselves this way. The only Gracie to not be humiliated is Rickson and Ryan. Rickson is so much better than his little brothers I think he should be training with Ryan now and all the others should retire.

I think robin hood makes a good point. The next gracie stars are being brought up with striking skillls along with jiu-jitsu. By far ryan is the best striker I've seen from the gracies (unlike royce's harmless bitch slaps).

WARNING: Everybody be on the look out in the next 5 years for: Rolls Jr., Rockson, Ryron, and now 19yr. Roger Gracie.

you make lots of good sense joshbcool. Ryron is doing very well on California wrestling team and Ryan is just a natural bad ass. These guys also have trained in boxing and kickboxing and judo as well as BJJ. They see that they must to crosstrain now or they will get smoked. I know these younger Gracies will restore the family name and give some dignity back to the family after being humiliated so much.

Robin has a good point.The up and coming Gracies are crosstraining and evolving their game.
Some of us just feel that the older guys deserve respect for what they have done and brought to us.

it is called having heart. renzo is a fighter and has done more than you probably have. it is the fighting game. anyone can get caught at anytime. just because you have some losses under your belt doesn't mean you should retire. keep it up renzo.
