Default Thinking of taking up BJJ...

But I'm 25 years old and have no experience in MA. I'm not sure how the age thing works though. Would I be in class with adults around my age?

Sorry for the dumb question.

At least I didn't ask about which MA is best for self defence those threads crack me up.

Most classes Ive been to adults range from late teens through to mid 30s/40's. Just roll up to your local class and have a look, if you like what you see have a chat with the instructor and start training.

No.... it's not a dumb question. I would ask you a question, what do you want to get out of it? Do you want to get in shape, want something for sport, self defense or on this website the many street fights that go on out there?

Depending on where you live, I would go out & check out a whole bunch of schools. Take advantage of the free class that they usually give. See what best fits you, your schedule & price range. Living here in NYC I guess I might be spoiled in that way.

Best of luck to you.
