![]() | There is the way the shoain use to achive iron neck, 1st get a mate 2 help u and stand on ur head building up 2 a hour every day. 2nd. after 1 year and this is very impotrant not to try till ur neck is strong is neck hanging, basically hang yourself. due 2 the built up neck mucsles this can now be sustaned without choking oneself for up 2 minutes, Treatment: for most my injuries i use 1 of 2 lotions atainable from any chinise acoupithy (there in most town centers now) and they are woodlock jin di do (spelling probally mucked up) i find the woodlock is excellent but the jin di do is cheaper both will last months if not longer. -make sure u sit up straight were ever, due to the design of our spine we do alot of damage when we slouch (keeping your neck bent e.g sitting bk) if u notice nearly everybody on the bus sits with a slouch and this can seriously muck up your back, lastley strech your back. lie down as if to do a press up keeping your hip on the ground bend your back as far bk as it will go this is a very good strech for your bk and neck.

![]() | If you are reading this it means you haven't hung yourself. Hey, if you ARE able to do that, Congrats! I sure will never do it! Anyway to my point... Enzo566, we do neck bridges. It is a back bridge on your head and you SLOWLY roll your head back and forth (wrestlers do this a lot). There is also a neck harness you can get at a sports store like Academy. It is placed on your head and weights are placed at the end. The neck muscles are worked the same by both exercises. There is a book by Matt Furey you might like, Combat Conditioning. Train with heart and technique! Rock The World! |

![]() | Wrestlers neck bridge is great, here's the progression you can use. Start with doing a bridge with your feet, hands near your neck, and head for supports. Work up to holding your weight with just your head and feet. Then start to roll once you have that down. You can lay on your stomach and hang your head over a bench, then place a weight on the back of your neck, hold it with your fingertips, and move the neck up and down against the resistance. Then do the same exercise with your back on the bench, weight on forehead, etc. You can use your hands against the side of your head for resistance as you move your head side to side and you hands against your forehead or back of your head as you move your head back and forth against resistance. Check out Ross's book on Ross Boxing called Combat Conditioning for the warrior. |

![]() | i have not achieved neck hanging myself, but all all shoalin students are preferred to learn this skill they call it iron neck skill so there are alot of ppl who can do it, it is very usefull for headlocks becuase eventually your neck becomes so strong they find it very hard to chocke u, you can also take many full wieght punch's to your throut without forceing the adams apple bk into the windpipe and chocking yourself, if you have ares or any of p2p (file sharing program can download lots and fast very good for martial arts movies and information) search shoalin on videos and their are 2 very good documenteries at 700mbs so about 1hour and a half each, one focuses on jet li and also stars the awsome 90 year old monk, some guy hits him a hell of alot in the chest with 3 dan staff to prove that still focus his chi + this guy has not slept but meditated since he was 17 so he has no bed, sadly he has now died im unaware of his name. Ares witch is the best p2p, is downloadable from http://www.aresgalaxy.org/ for any martial artist who has a p.c and broadband download this, the wealth on information is becoming limitless, then if u have any decent files u can share them 2.
