BJJFighter, where is Rialto?
Mixed Martial Arts, Thaiboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Combat Submission Wrestling, Jeet Kune Do, Women's Self-Defense, Boxing and Filipino Martial Arts
I would like to let everyone know about an upcoming event.
BJJ Black Belt Rommel Dunbar will be hosting The California Classic International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Submission Grappling Championship (formeraly called the Inland Empire Championship) on September 3-4, 2005 at Rialto High School in Rialto, CA.
Last year this was huge with over 400 competitors in the BJJ alone and with the addition of submission grappling this year, there is expected to be close to 600 competitors.
Over $10,000 in prizes will be given out to all the winners in every division!
This is an event that you do not want to miss.
For more information call (951) 687-9000 or go to www.unitedbjj.com.
Or Riverside, or wherever the tournament is.
Rialto is a small town, about 55 miles, almost an hour East of down town LA.
You can do a search on www.mapquest.com to see where the city is, in relation to other cities in Southern California
I guess I should look to see if they have an old guy's division AND see if I am healthy enough to compete....
I'm thinking about competing, for the sole reason that I'll be in LA at the time that it's on!
Cakegirl take lots of pics.........of yourself.![]()

Now, it's going to be hard to take pics of myself if I'm competing, but maybe Polegirl will take some for me.![]()
OK, it's confirmed, I'll be competing in this... Polegirl won't be there, but my flatmate will be.
BJJ Fighter, thank you for the info. I'll be there. Hope to meet some of you! Good luck!

lopezma, will you be competing, or observing?
Competing! It's too hard to just go see a tournament. I will compete in the submission grappling devision, light heavy. Maybe BJJ too.

"In all countries where personal freedom is valued, however much each individual may rely on legal redress, the right of each to carry arms - and these the best and the sharpest - for his own protection in case of extremity, is a right of nature indelible and irrepressible, and the more it is sought to be repressed the more it will recur."
James Paterson
Thanks!
