shouldn't be a problem.
I teach TKD and train in BJJ and have no problems with it. Now training in JKD and TKD at the same time would be confusing in the beginning but that's two standup arts. You'll be fine, realize your gonna get bashed around here for the TKD part. But don't listen to morons and you'll be fine.

every school is different. We work positions for a long time, Then we work on flow.
so they will probably show you the basic positions and maybe an escape or two and a maybe a submission. It takes a while to get it down but just stick with it.

TKD and BJJ would be a great combination. As a beginner in the martial arts, it will take you longer to progress if you're learning two arts, but the benefits of working on both will be great.
Studying TKD, you will learn how to throw fast, hard and well placed kicks at different targets and be able to land as many kicks until fighting changes ranges. Working with BJJ, you will get some work with effective takedowns, but more importantly learn how to be mobile on the ground, use leverage to make your position better and to execute submissions (techniques that bend joints against their natural range of movement or cut off the air supply). Go with an open mind and willingness to learn and you'll do fine. |

But if you train with a genuine BJJ instructor trained in VT, you will not need any other MA. My instructor trains vale tudo fighters as an extra for the tought guys. It really depends what you expect out your training really!
