Don't know if you all have seen this before, but I recently came across this.
One guy breaks out into a dorky looking kung fu stance and is maybe the funniest fighter I've ever seen. The fight is the first one on this page. The second fight is Kimbo Slice vs. Byrd, which I'm sure many of you have seen before. http://www.pokerkicksass.com/StreetFights.html |

I kinda thought maybe the guy flat on his back was the funniest one, but hey i dont practice bjj so what do i know right? seems to me i would hate to be the guy who got his a## kicked by the "dorky looking kung fu" .I would rather look silly and win than be all cool knocked out on the ground. but again different strokes for different folks... |

I agree with you, it is much more important to win the fight than to look good. In fact, the guy with the dorky stance actually threw a pretty good right cross to end matters.
All I was saying was that his fighting style was quite funny. I don't think he had to go through all those gyrations to win the fight. Peace. |

Those "Gyrations" are his method base for advancing, defending and striking they semed to cover those things pretty well, however apparently his fighting ability isnt as visually appealing as say capt wire trick JET LIs PERFORMANCES

No, they really werent as appealing as Jet Li's performance, and while I realize Jet Li is an actor, and I've heard in an interview that Jet Li himself says he is not a fighter and not a very good one.
I still think Jet Li could beat the crap out of the "kung fu" guy, even just based on pure athleticism and physical attributes.

the second fight kimbo v.s. slice was some great bareknuckle boxing, where can I see more of this type of thing instead of skinny ass suburb kids or getto crack heads that can't fight worth shit on video like most tapes are. This fight looks likes it could have happened in a prison exercise yard except for the stopages. Nice

That was funny. Growing up in South Florida you see a lot of punks starting stuff like this. I walked away most of the time, b/c it takes a lot for me to get pissed, but I have personally ended a few fights like that. Most of the time those punks are all talk and no game. It was nice to see one the when actually confronted he stays and fights instead of pussing out and running away. Also as a side note about jet li, he was one of China's top fighter's winning many national tournoments prior to becoming an actor.

That same link now has a clip of a Tiger fighting a Crocodile that tried to steal the Tiger's food. Looks like the Tiger has some nice natural grappling skills. |

To the carotid at the side of the neck in my view. Caught him a cracker - beautiful timing.
As for the Kung Fu kid? He sure committed himself! I also thought he looked silly and was going to get stomped. But he won the day. Can't argue with that! |
