| Registered User | Edwin Alseitz.... Now that's a man I know that went out fighting. Edwin was always passionately expressive about living the "Way" of the Warrior. Edwin had taken many hits as a fighter and no matter how many times he had gotten defeated and had taken many, many hits in matches, he was never exactly defeated. In a match, all Edwin knew what to do was to fight, to keep on fighting, and take a pounding, and looked forward to the next shot in the ring. Edwin the warrior spirit is you now, my man! ![]() | Edwin always wanted to know what kind of spirit you had. His 1st question to the newbies was always "Are you a warrior"? We were all newbies to him at one time. I'm not sure there was anyone there longer, not counting T,S, & R. He was a rare one of a kind. He was left of center but it was ok with Edwin, he wore it well. You had no worries with him, Edwin was Edwin. He didn't care about the every day stuff that mugs our day. He had a entirely different outlook on life. One that was pure and simple. He fought with heart and passion that few have. He fought and won in his 40's before Courture made it cool. Edwin was one of kind. Sorry I'm out of town and won't be there to say my good byes. I enjoyed rolling with you buddy, may God Bless You Edwin (It's ok to tap to God). Winn |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Judging from those pictures Edwin was the man lol, fighting and hes got ladies. I dont know him personally , but anyone whos still fighting at that point in their life has got my respect, I'll try to be one of those guys when I get older, still fighting and showing the kids how its done.

![]() ![]() | Spoke to Edwin's sister yesterday. He died from Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Information about this can be seen here: http://www.texasheartinstitute.org/dilated.html When she gets the full report if there is any additional info, I'll pass it on. She wants to thank everyone for all the concern and support shown. Tim |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Oh, no...I'm sorry for bumping a stale thread, but I just ran across this and had no idea Edwin had passed away. Edwin was a real class act and genuinely nice guy, a joy to train with. I'll really miss him. |
