Well, I'm not experienced with this but if there is another grappling art by you take that and shift over once you find another place. Or if there is a Judo place take Judo.

videos are good, specially the rorion gracie videos( found at the gracie official site, yes you could download em off kazaa but you would be screwing the gracies over)..he makes it easy to understand techniques and also he goes through everything step by step going through minor details. you should really consider finding yourself a partner or some friends you could practice with so you could put the moves you learn in action(buy mats too$)

Nothing for nothing but the gracies got a multi-millon dollar jiu-jitsu business, and im not gonna lose any sleep over downloading a few videos. if you wanna feel bad about something you should feel bad when you download a porn clip illegally and some crack whore isnt gettin her royality check for it. just my thoughts |

), they have no dignity if they are in the porn industry. You really cant compare the gracie's prestige to a crack whore...download em if you want, i just wouldnt do it myself...just my 2 cents too

u need at least a willing partner. im sure if u guys work on stuff safely u can teach yourself tons of stuff. dont buy videos, just look at stuff on the net, and librarys have martial arts books as well. just going to the official gracie bjj website, theres tons of techniques in detail in pics and videos. the judo website has animated throws for u to see. if u had a willing partner and worked safely u could probobly learn alot. u can also dl tons of martial arts instruction stuff on bearshare. they got so much material for u to download.
but check these out. http://judoinfo.com/animate.htm u can also check out choking and ground fighting techniques on that site http://bjj.org/techniques/ |

I thought it was pretty astute social commentary, made even better by the prompt response: 'The rich and famous deserve whatever they can get, while the poor and desperate deserve a kick in the teeth and a hearty laugh at their expense'.
