"Judo in Miami, Florida"

Can anyone recommend a good Judo school in the Miami area that does not neglect the newaza aspect of Judo?

Hi Kenjeet,

From what I know of the Florida judo scene, your best bet would be the Budokan Judo Club. Here is the address I got from the judoweb website.

The instructor is Eveilo Garcia. They have a bunch of black belts at the club. It is one of the stronger competitive clubs in Florida.

As for the newaza aspect of it, I don't know what you are looking for. If you are looking for a cheap way to practice or learn BJJ, this is probably the wrong way to go. Better off training at one of the BJJ schools down in Florida. The sports are similar, yet there is a big difference in the training that you will get in newaza. If you are looking to learn the sport of judo, this is a good school.
