Default Work outs around the MMA sessions

Hey, I take my MMA classes on tues and thurs, and we do a somwhat hefty amount of overall conditioning (combining the technique drills etc with a run a couple bodyweight exercises) I'm just curious if you think doing full fledged workouts on mon weds and fri would be the best thing to do around given the days that sessions are on. Or do you beleive that my performance will decrease noticeably on those days?

I'm simply looking for the optimal program to work with given those days...any advice is welcome. I do a 5x5 workout sytem if it helps any.

Royce Gracie has a book out called "Superfit", I think, and that will have all your questions answered in it. It also has specific exercised designed to help martial artists complement their training.

Personally, I'd probably just throw in some cardio on the non-training days.
