i know this guy who uses the martial arts angle to try to pick up on chicks all the time. its so weaksauce. i think its really wrong. having to see that shit just makes me not want to ever tell anyone i train cause i dont wanna be like that douche ever. ive seen alot of this shit lately. another example is i saw this fat overweight asian kid wearing a ufc shirt and a tapout hat at my work and i asked him if he trained. he said he competed in amature mma all the time. in reality, he was just some kid who wished he could be in mma, but all he knew was some karate he did back when he was 11 or some shit. he just wanted to look tough or cool or whatever and didnt even train.

Your average woman isn't into guys who do MMA these days; she's into the guy who does bodybuilding and likes to go shopping.

I agree that it is lame but have no idea why you need to bring weight and race into it.

Back when I did karate and went to all-dojo night I used to get hit on all the time and it was really really lame. Especially when it's during practice time. So what I did (if there's any women reading this with the same problem) is up the force as much as I could so they'd have to *really* block or do that wrist release (even during "slow and easy for good form") if the situation dictated it. Give them something to concentrate on. I would also just stand there if someone was doing a punch and wasn't actually punching at my face like they were supposed to. If you want me to block then give me something to block, right? (Of course, I've never seen anybody block on the street, but that's a different story.) I also have refused to work with people who weren't working, I would insist they partner off with someone else. Luckily my teacher and his teacher were really really awesome teacher and I knew they would back me if it came to that.

Those are the wrong kinds of women to be in relationships with.

However, if you decide to take that road, those kinds of relationships usually take care of themselves when the excitement dies down. You get the "Its not you, its me" speech if she's somewhat feminist and you don't have to do anything .

Martial arts helped me get a chick. The woman who would one day be my wife was going out with a friend of mine in high school and at one point they broke up. Since we went to the same karate class we were able to keep in touch and we eventually started dating. Then we got married.

i really loved teaching kids m.a. and it was great fun, but if you want the sleeze of the decade award, just telll a woman you'd really like to adopt 2 children, a little girl from afganistan and a little boy from iraq but you don't have a woman in you life to help raise them. If you do this just to get a woman you're a complete sleeze.But in my human being moments during the day I actually sometimes think about adopting 2 kids like that cause it's not their fault they live in F****** war zones and it'd be good to get them out of there. I'm ready for you're a whimp comments now from all the "tough guy hard asses on here." I don't care if you make fun of me, it's just how I feel.

the reason you don't pick em up at work or the school is because 1.the environment turns into a giant game of flirty flirty grab ass, and 2 ALL your personal bussiness will be the subject of much disscussion by EVERYONE!!!!
Do other activities outside of m.a. to get women I'm sure you can think of a few: bars, clubs, other sports for singles, social clubs, political stuff, school(be careful there) ect. ect. ect.

I loooooooove teaching kids. It's so much more refreshing because they try their best to do what you want them to do. And you can be as cheesy and stupid as you want and they'll just love you so much more for it.

It's just that, it's also a great way to pick up chicks.
