I just wrote a short article on my website that gives the directions to make a super cheap medicine ball. I wrote it after watching Brandon Ruiz's "Body Slam! Buddy Lifts and Body Weight Conditioning" DVD. I could afford the DVD but the medicine balls are EXTREMELY expensive (At least for me).
Brandon trains at the US Olympic Training center in Greco Roman Wrestling. He's supporting his brother at the Greco Worlds right now and will hopefully compete there himself next year. He won a silver medal in Greco at the 2004 PanAmericans. He's also a 2 x Pancrase Submission-Wrestling North American Champion (2004-05) and he was a ADCC North American Qualifier Trials Semi-Finalist 2004. The DVD has a ton of great conditioning drills including some that include the use of a heavy Medicine Ball. One of the great things about the DVD is that it's formatted to loop through each exercise until you tell it to move on to the next exercise. This allows you to see the drill performed repeatedly with great form, making it easier to learn the drill. I think the DVD is a great tool and can be used by any Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Grappling, or Mixed Martial Arts athlete. Or really anyone else that really wants to get in great shape. Brandon also has a couple of sample workouts on his site that utilize the exercises on the DVD. Brandon has not paid me to say any of this but I really like the product and I think you will too. Not only do you get a great conditioning resource, you also get to support one of America's elite amateur athletes. Here's a link to the article: http://www.maximumg.com/index.cfm?pageID=277 Here's a link to Brandon's site (Iron Horse Strength): http://www.ironhorsestrength.com And here's a link to the DVD's site: http://www.ironhorsestrength.com/BodySlam_DVD.shtml

Email him. I got mine in a week but I suspect that you might have ordered yours while he was in Europe at the Wrestling World Championships.
