Combat,will do.
Robin Hood,the gym is at 1911 N.E. MLK Jr. Blvd in Portland.Right close to Broadway.The jits classes are on tues and thurs nights at 8:00 p.m.You are more than welcome to come by and join a class.It's a short drive and you will have fun.

guardsman, you do the Old Waza which incorporates the Old Guard rather than the New Guard. You really should give it a try.

gungfuhero, It's really a matter of preference, some prefer the Old Waza and some prefer the updated New Waza. I've heard of Ne Waza but its really not as good as the Old Waza if you ask me.

okay, I am somewhat familiar with Ne Waza (ground fighting),
but could anyone give examples of the diff between New & Old Waza?

rockinronnie,

Old Waza involved more pressure point submissions and "barrell rolling". New Waza focuses on submission over position.

What do you mean by barrel rolling? Did the old waza emphasize postion more?

no....don't take it like that. i'm just unfamiliar with the terminoology and the old waza and how it differs from bjj guard.
