Wasnt he in jail? Also...I heard somewhere that he kissed matt hughes. Whats the story behind that?

yes he was in jail in hawaii for knockin out a cop after rumble on the rock 5 i think....and after he choked hughes out hughes started to sry so bj gave him a peck on the cheek.

I don't like Penn. I usually like hawian fighters, i don't like penn. He just looks akward as a fighter to me and that akwardness helps him win. I don't think Penn should be a champ at anything just because he fights like a goofy BJJ goon.

Yeah he KO's guys or taps them out. It doesnt make it decision very often. Guess that makes the perfect fighter. And he's a goon now because he was the first American born BJJ fighter to win the world championship in Brazil? Or is it because he kicks ass or kinda looks funny?

Dont forget first american in his division

i think it was egan inoue who was one of the first to win in his dv also...which was like heavyweight i think.

maybe it is because his head looks like a volleyball....lol....he's a good fighter yeah, he's great....I just don't think he's very charismatic, in the ring or out. But charisma isn't a prerequisite for kicking-ass so i think i'll just shut up about ol' penn before he comes to my apartment and turns me inside out.

Didnt you see the charles bronson movie 'hard times'? some guy bronson is supposed to fight for side action money bets, threatens to beat up bronson in the bar, but bronson says ' you aint gunna do it for free'

no I didn't see that movie, but i did see "over the top" the stalone armwrestling/trucker movie. *turns hat around, puts arm on table, and glares at BJ penn*......
