After looking at one of the boxing threads I have a question some of you MMA Gurus can answer. How much do MMA players get paid per fightin UFC and Pride, what is the split? I think Royce made 60K winning the first UFC but it must be higher now. Are they contracted for "X" amount of fights per year? Also,what about the smaller or local organizations. If you are just starting out how much can you expect to make and about how many fight can one finish in a year?

Entry level ufc fights you make shit money....2000 to fight....2000 to win.In japan in pride entry level is 10k to fight 10k to win.Even org like shooto and pancrase pay their low class fighters what mid level ufc comp gets.Guys like liddell and couture make anywhere from 180k-240k a fight but in japan guys like Saku Yoshida Ogawa Fedor Gomi Silva etc etc get at least over 300k a fight.Gomi makes 250k a fight and he fought 9 times in bushido do the math he makes 2,250,000 basically in a year and a half-2 years.Unless your top level in america u get paid shit espically in like kotc and local shows its like 200 2 show 200 2 win its pathetic.If u wanna b a pro fighter do it in japan.
