this discipline is better than most martial arts in terms of self defense. immagine being able to escape so easily and effortlessly. nothing can stand in your way. this art, le parkour is the art of movement.

Check this shit!
http://www.traktor.com/commercials/h...ry_Chicken.mpg This is Sébastien Foucan the founder of le parkour. He made a documentary called Jump London, and yes that is him jumping between the roof of a football (soccer) stadium.

"Alright, he has fooled the chicken!"
That's hilarious! It's like the opening to City of God, but in reverse!

Anyone ever heard of soap shoes? They are a lot like skate shoes with an extra grip tread but with a grind plate in the middle of the shoes. Imagine being able to run and grind down ledges and rails with just your shoes. This would just add more to freerunning.
Yeah the jump london documentary was pretty cool. Those guys are crazy, all they need to invent is some sort of web slinging apparatus and they would be spidermen. And who in their right mind doesn't want to be spiderman? Forgot to add this link http://www.teamryouko.com/index2.php this is team Ryouko, download their video packs. Watch urban ninja, I think they are the outakes files. Its just a guy in a ninja costume running around toronto and the university. Its really cool though. |
