I watched a tournement the other day on Hi Def TV that was very similar to the old UFCs, it was a one night thing where you had to beat 4 fighters to win the thing., Babalu won beating out some very very very good including Shogun, Jeremy Horn and some BJJ guy that just won the worlds. For MMA I think that format is the best, fight multilple times a night, beat multiple guys, and youre the best. Babalu is the best right now I say, all around, he needs to fight Liddell again and show the KO was a fluke |

Agreed - well said.
When we say Gracie j.j. We are not talking about Royce neccessarily, nor any other gracie individually! What people must understand is that we are talking about gracie j.j. The fact that they worked and and improved this system which turned out to be one of the most important parts of unarmed combat. When the rest of the world all insisted that their martial arts were the most effective in a real life unarmed combat situation. the early UFC's were the real acid test of this and gracie j.j. proved it was the missing link. They were the pioneers, they led the way! And thats why the Gracies are so admired! What they knew many decades ago has been copied, stolen and added to by others - hence the situation we have now. We must not get confused with individual and the art. They have given more to mma than anyone! I know I have been in real situations - when I have used and been thankful for the Gracie j.j. skills they teach!
