im new to the forums, but i happened to stumble apon this page. after reading what "kdh" has said he obviously is a one of those kids who needs his mom to rub his back before he can go to sleep. to ask a question about if hkd is better for hand then tkd is dumb. if you actually spent some time in studying either of the two you would find the right answer. tkd is roughly 80% kicking, it emphazizes on kicking, so hkd may be the way for you. both are korean so they came from the same root. heres an example i did wrestling both ameature and freestyle, and was pretty good at it, so say a tkd practioner was in a small room and was unable to use his legs, and maybe his upper body strikes, i would most likely easily take him down.
i brought it apon my self to be good and learn throws, trips. so when im learning tkd, which is mainly a self defensive martial and doing side kicks, axe kicks etc, i incorporaite that in my wrestling. its the persons job, not the martial art that shapes you, the martial art is mearley a guid to help you and to teach you new things. so to talk trash when you really havnt done any martial arts and all these guys have is pretty stupid, im sure all of these guys could drop you within a minute including myself, no threat intended. and by the way there are plenty of people who could beat bruce lee so get over it, he did, thats why he created Jkd, he took the things he learned from other martial arts and made a effective one of his own, thats why hes remebered, not for being the best, because he wasnt.
