For example, could Mark Coleman beat Royce Gracie in a BJJ tounrament match by simply taking him down and stalling out the clock like Mark Kerr does to people in the Abu Dhabi or is the scoring different? Would Mark Coleman not be able to avoid submissions against Royce Gracie in a match where they were both forced to wear Gis?

Lightbulb

in a 10 minute match with gi's????

i'd have to say royce would catch him.

that is, unless, coleman bury's his head, keeps his arms in tight, hold his lapels and maintains his base... he has a god chance of lasting the 10 minutes.

wait a minute, why am i even answering this question? i must be bored.

I don't think he would last that long.At that point,he would be way too deep into enemy territory to survive.
