Default Revival of Traditional Martial Arts

A lot of people are so close minded these days because only a few arts have been successful in MMA tournaments. However, although BJJ and Muay Thai are traditional, I'm referring to the other traditional east Asian arts.

With the recent entrance of the Chinese and Koreans into the MMA arena, traditional Asian arts like Taekwondo and Karate are making a comeback. In fact, more Korean MMA fighters use Hapkido, as opposed to Muay Thai.

I hope this trend is here to stay. There is so little diversity in the MMA world today.

i wish there was a tournament in which you could only use techniques from the art you are representing was allowed, just TMAists challenging themselves and seeing how there art holds up against X. I dont like the way all MMA, UFC fighters are "freestyle" and most of them fight the same way. Like a saw a fight between Shawn Sherk and Matt Hughes, and it was so boring because it was 2 guys who look the same and fight the same.

I love seeing distinctive styles fighting against each other.

But then i love MA for differant reasons to most ppl on this forum. I got into MA because of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee not because i wanna be the worlds biggest badass.

TSD is both a hard and soft style, derriving hardness from Soo Bahk, and soft flowing movements from Northen Chinese systems.

edit:I cant belive i bought into this ^ lies, lies. TSD is shotokan with a Korean name and an emphasis on hip movement.
