![]() ![]() | Problem is, I can't do much offensively. I try to set up arm bars and triangles and kimuras, but these guys have HUGE guns. Trying to pull their arm across, or push it back, or hold it down...anything...seems impossible. If I manage to get it in a vulnerable spot they are able to just muscle it out. I've been trying to do sweeps, but the weight advantage hurts me there. It's very difficult to budge their legs, and usually once my guard is open they muscle into side control. Usually they're either try to stand up in my guard or they're just dig their elbows in and GRIND with their biceps looking like they're about to pop. It doesn't really phase me, but I wish I could do more than just sit there and wait for them to wear me down and then pass so I can get squished. Any tips? Also, yes I realize it's David and Goliath. I have no idea where Samon came from...turns out it's a cartoon though, so I'm not a complete dumbass. |

![]() | Try some sweeps. heres one, turn to your side with your guard starting to open, say to your right, bring your thigh up under the guys armpit, while at the same time reaching under his left thigh, which is on your right side. all at the same time swing your weight to your left, (if you can bring your left leg all the way back in front of his face and then back real fast the other way to carry your wieght down, and pushing your right thigh towards his neck and pulling/lifting under his left thigh, you should get the mount easy if he doesnt see this coming. it might be best not to let them get into your guard if they are really big though, if they do, then go for some chokes |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | How about leg-locks? Straight foot-lock or toe-hold locks? Heel-hooks if you're REALLY careful with them. There are a lot of options available to you, especially if they stand to pass. Have you tried sweeps from the butterfly guard?

![]() ![]() ![]() | I noticed you said triangles, armbars, and kimuras, while two of those involve the legs heavily.... it is kinda an arm strength thing... so why not try the omoplata if you know it... escape your hips, hook the guys head, and then you got em, if he doesnt roll, (or escape before you get to the point where he needs to roll), he taps, and if he rolls , just trap his arm, and go for sidemount or mount... or you could be like me and go for spider gaurd, they do rip your legs sometimes, but if your fast enough foot in the bicep, or even foot on the hips, then push the knees, swing for an arm bar, or a sweep , or take the back. (I like spider gaurd).

Shime waza! .................. Kannuki Gatami might get them too. I'll try to find a picture of it... it's simple enough (to do) but difficult to describe.http://www.edinburghjitsu.com/ude.php http://www.judoinfosite.nl/NL/pages/...uki-gatame.htm http://judo-for-all.com/Theory/Theor...uki-Gatame.htm I'm sure you get the idea...?

Keep switching up your attack. If the triangle does'nt work turn it into an armbar, if that does'nt work, omapalata, or set up a shoulder lock, if they sit up fake like you're going for their shoulder and go for a guillotine.
