Well that's it, I'm out, senior year not going to get another @&!*^@! chance at states ever again. I feel like driving a steak knife through my hand right now. Sorry if htis had no real purpose, i just had to vent.

To go into more detail here's what happened in the two matches I lost.
First matchI lost:
whistle blew, kid bum rushed me and took me down. I did a switch, got a reversal and let him up. I shot in on a takedown and got his legs. I cut the corner and was about to take him down and then(here's the best part) he reached back(a big no no in wrestling) grabbed my head and used his strength to throw me back into a reverse head and arm.
Second match I lost: Whistle blew we tied up. I did my infamous armdrag and took him down. I rode him for the remainder of the first round. Second round I was being retarded and chose down. whistle blew, I tried to hit a switch but he caught my arm trailing. He rode legs on me for 40 seconds or so and then somehow magically he got me in side mount and pinned me.
what the hell whhy the (*#&@ did I choose bottom when neutral is my best game god friggin @*(&!(&@! somebody shoot me .

It doesn't have any. There is still college and beyond.Originally Posted by Bjjexpertise@be

Thanks for the advice jubaji I appreciate it. With your advice in mind, I'm thinking about training with the wrestlling team at college to keep my takedown skills and spending more time on Bjj.

BJJ, most competators know that feeling. Now, if you're still determined and driven, chase those passions, start getting MORE into either wrestling or grappling, hone your skills even further, make a name for yourself even!
Hey BJJ I know it can be disappointing, but man you need to be proud of yourself, remember you just started wrestling 2 yrs ago and made it to the finals I say congradulations. But like Jubaji said many school will allow the walk on especially d2-3. Join the college team and get more experience.
A person who is said to be proficient in the arts is like a fool. Because of his foolishness in concerning himself with just one thing, he thinks of nothing else and thus becomes proficient. - Hagarkure
danfagella, I plan on honing my grappling skills even more and hopefully making a name for myself in the future, you'll see.
I'm surprised you remember when I started. I remember you and jubaji were like my personal coaches. Thanks for all your advice, if it weren't for you two I wouldn't even have gotten this far.Hey BJJ I know it can be disappointing, but man you need to be proud of yourself, remember you just started wrestling 2 yrs ago and made it to the finals I say congradulations. Yeah, I think I only came in 4th in the State my senior year. I didn't really hit my stride until I got in the NCAA. That's one of the reasons I encourage you to keep on keepin' on. You may not be done getting better. As a freshman in college I quietly made myself the hardest working man in the room and paid my dues. After that, I can't tell you how many high school heroes walked into the wrestling room as freshmen and just got humiliated. It was actually an enjoyable event when someone who was a world-beater in high school turned up for the first day thinking he was something. Of course, every once in a while there is some freak of nature who is just an unstoppable force from day one, but I didn't wrestle for Iowa where those monsters usually turned up so the rule generally held. The point is, don't stop now 'cause the best may lie ahead!Originally Posted by Bjjexpertise@be

4th in State is still something to be proud of, especially when you're wrestling up north. Down here wrestling is nowhere near as good as it is up there.
