Fukk...

I was planning on competing in Vegas that weekend...

Where did you get this info Doodie??? I was assuming that Uno's opponent was to be a guy outta the Nova Uniao Vegas school... perhaps John Lewis???

BJ Penn making NHB debut vs. Uno would be stupid management.

Lewis has wanted an MMA rematch with Uno after gettin' choked by him in ADCC '99.

http://www.sherdog.com is reporting that the rumoured matchup is Dennis Hallman vs Kauro Uno.

I seriously doubt BJ Penn will fight MMA yet since he stated in an interview in full contact fighter a few months back regarding possiably fighting in MMA:

"...after I get good in wrestling and some good standup. I want to be well rounded before I go in. I dont wont to be a pure jiu-itsu guy."

Didn't BJ already fight in a MMA event in Stockton a year or so ago. When he was still with Ralph I think he had a fight in an event along with Cameron Earl and Dave Camarillo. Can anyone confirn this?

BJ fought in NHB once against a Japanese guy who had fought Rumina Sato previously. Rumina took much longer to beat him than BJ.

I heard this from a Nova Uniao black belt who conducts seminars w/ BJ regularly. I was kinda surprised to hear BJ take this fight, especially in a smaller venue like KOTC. If you're gonna fight the former Shooto champion, you wanna make as much money as possible. I was told BJ is not getting paid much for this fight.
