Hey guys what are your thoughts on this art. This is actually one of the earliest mma, besides JJJ. It is a mixture of boxing, karate, judo and JJJ(has ground grappling).

Here are some vids of it.

From what I understand, there is no kicking below the waist, but sweeps are allowed, and they wear a medal mask, so knees and elbows to the head would hurt the guy throwing them.

Have any of you heard of this style or had any experiences? Thanks. Any response would be appreciated.

Yeah, I did that for about a year or so when I was living in Toyohashi. Fun stuff, good workout.

Can you tell me a little bit more about your experience? What are the pros and cons? How much ground work do they actually have? Any armbars? I know I've seen knee bars, but I don't know about arm bars, ankle locks and other submissions.

Thanks.
