I don't think the guy was truly serious about cutting anyone.

I'm not saying the guy done wrong. I'm saying if the pro fighter meets a pro knife fighter, the knife fighter would win.

Don't get me wrong this guy was on the run, so panic would be in his head. He needed to be stopped, but what I'm saying is if this guy with the machette was a martial artist, with knowledge of blades and knife fighting, then he would of sliced him into little pieces.

IF HE KNEW HOW TO USE THAT WEAPON!!!!!!!!!

I too don't think that he wanted to use the blade, it was his threat to unarmed people. His advantage.

I don't think I've ever met a knife guy I didn't like. The trained fighters are (almost) never bad guys. Like Eskrima Jim said, most guys that use knives criminally are idiots... That doesn't mean they're not dangerous, just that they have no formal training.

Intent is the foundation. It can be strong (murderous) or weak. The MMA guy was fortunate that the foundation was crumbling already...

hey ooo, jim.

I gotta say even if the crack head with the freakin machette was from vietnam and used one everyday hacking up trees and people.

Sooner or later one of the cops would have showed him the acient art of "GUN FU" and mister knife fighter can't cut people very well when he's full of holes.

Either that or he would have been showed another acient art of "Taseramutherfukarate"....a new art they've been teaching cops these days. Kinda hard to cut people up with 50,000 volts shooting through yo' nutz.

Peace

glad to have you back....we were gettin' short of idiots to argue with and laugh at So tell us how much more taser and bullet proof MMA makes you again? do you guys use some special showerhead technique like IronPalmArts? ...some cop from 25-30 feet away might shoot a trained dude who flipped with a machette, but inside that range....im betting on the guy with the training and INTENT who has his machette.

This is kind of a silly argument.

Would the pro knife figher get a knife and the mma guy not?

Would they both get knives?

Would they both get the weapon of their choice?

Would they both have to go unarmed?

Clearly if you have a pro knife fighter (whose a pro knife fighter anyway? the lol.. KFC.. knife fighting championship) (I'd watch) vs a pro mma fighter, the guy with the knife is gonna win, if you debate that your an idiot. Notice I said g uy with the knife, give the mma fighter a knife, and the knife guy no knife... knife fighter will get cut.

He may have a better chance, but I'd bet he'd lose, if they both have knives, knife fighter simply because he'd know the ranges of weapon fighting and "defang the snake" as they say, while the mma guy would most likely try to stab the other guy in the body/face.

Against a knife wielding crackhead with no intent to actually stab anyone, I give the MMA fighter the benefit of the doubt there. I dont know who I'd give the edge too if the crackhead had intent.

Honestly guys, this is as dumb as arguing who would win, a Navy Seal or a Pro MMA fighter if they fought in the street.

Maybe the navy seal arguing side, I heard the people who argue for the pro mma fighters, while still remaining an idiot, are ridiculously good looking anyway.

Default Jim, Medic and Boar's gotta point

Got to work drills with ka-bar training knife today. ooohhhh yeaaahhhh!!

Anyhow, the crazy knife wielding fellow must have been desperate but not viscious because even during training drills, you get "cut" or "poked".

INTENT is the foundation... Good stuff Tom! Keep at it. It's timing, attachment, move, destroy! I havn't practiced for a LOOOOOOONG time but I remember well my mistakes! Always break it before you take it! (his arm or wrist)
