At first the title pissed me off a bit, but as I read it I understand you are not speaking in a bad way of Asians in particular the Japanese. Of course it would be an individual basis and I also have noticed differences is the physical aspects of individuals and certain races. I started out with Kickboxing, and then BJJ and JUDO and have done them for a while now. We have some Japanese guys that are high ranks and I am 220 and 6'1" I was surprised that these guys that are much more experienced than I were having such difficulty throwing me, I wasn't resisting or anything, they basically collapsed beneath me or the throw was so soft that I could have countered it or hand sprung out of it. But that is not a general concensus. It doesn't stop with a race though. I noticed guys with really good strong builds are not as strong as you would think. It is almost like cosmetic muscle, they would also have difficulty throwing me, but they seemed much lighter than I anticipated. I am sure it has a lot to do with the mental picture that if you believe them to be very heavy or strong you will mentally and physically compensate to deal with that. But I do in fact notice a difference in individuals but I won't say its a racial difference but I am sure genetics will be the key.

Have any of you dudes ever taken a class on statistics?
any college courses?

In order to evaluate a culture, you have to have more than several encounters with that culture.
So what if you trained with a couple of dudes. Even if you have trained with over a dozen.

In sociological studies, there must be hundreds to thousands of people in a study to be able to generalize any type of character traits.

This is like playing dozens of basketball games and come up with (the popular movie title "white men can't jump"
just because you play with several white dudes and they can't jump as high as you can. (assuming that you aren't white too, duuuh!)
Now as you can see how ridiculous this saying is, since there are many races and cultures that have men and women that can jump high.

Sure, this is how cultural and racial sterotypes are born, from ignorance. But in the true sense of characterizing a race or culture, you have to have thousands of tests.
Now if you can do a huge sample of the Japanese people and standardize a test to measure strength and THEN you can measure the other cultures from other countries.
Some might say, look at the Olympics, but each country preps their athletes differently. There are several countries that pour millions into their Olympic athletes programs.

Do you wonder why there was only one Jamaican bob sled team?
