This would be a dream fight.The 2 best knock out artist in the sport today.I would personally pick Rizzo because he has some ground game.Great match.What do yall think about it?

Pedro is VERY good, I've seen him fight many times in muay thai in holland. His kicks and knees where world class.
But he was out-boxed many times.

If igor sucks that bad why don't youre gracie hero's royce rickson renzo fight him.

How did the Gracies come into this thread? I thought the point was related to a fight betweeen Igor V and Pedro Rizzo. I would actually pick Rizzo in this because I think both guys would want to keep it standing and Pedro is better at systematically wearing down his opponent. Also, Pedro is a far better muy thai boxer. If Igor could take Pedro down and pummel him he'd have a chance but I can't see him holding Pedro down.
I can't see any current active fighter beating Pedro unless it was a wrestler who squeeked out a decision over him.

This is a tough matchup to call. Both these guys can really take some hits. I think I would have to give it to Vov though simply on durability.

I have to agree with Miyagi San on this one..
I can only see Rizzo losing by descision to a wrestler...

yeah of course both have a chance at the KO... I haven't seen Igor get punched by anyone of Rizzo's ability..so i dont know about his chin.I know Pedro can take a punch and thats good for him cos he's gonna eat a few big ones if he ever fought Vov!

Igor doesn't need masterful skills against someone like Rickson. If Rickson could ever get him down or pull guard Igor would just toss him away like he did to Sakuraba. Then he'd pound the crap out of him. So much for submission and waiting for a mistake. Igor weighs 50 lbs more than Rickson and hits really really hard.
Now, Rizzo is a different matter. I really hope this matchup happens because I think it would be one of the all time great matchups.
I'm sick of seeing the Gracies name brought into every thread. They are irrelevent when we are discussing guys that actually try to fight as often as possible against good opposition.

Rizzo vs Igor would be a killer fight *gracie* ... who said that!?! Anyways *gracie* I think that Rizzo's kicks will make Igor rethink his *gracie* strategy and utilize his kicks, or at least *gracie* his kick defenses *gracie* other wise it's gonna be tough to close the *gracie* gap on him.

As far as Igor's ground skills...He's got enough to get the job done. Who needs submissions when you can just rain the hammers down?
