Actually, he didnt come close with the submission. Franklin said that he drilled that move plenty of times in training and that he didnt hurt him at all, so he was never gonna tap out.

As for Shamrock vs. Ortiz, I didn't know Shamrock had a torn ACL in their last fight, good to know b/c now I don't think tha the will get messed up like he did last time. I mean Shamrock got rocked hard.

I used to hate Ortiz b/c he seemed to be a cocky, arrogant bastard. Hoever, watching TUF, and hearing as to y Ortiz hates Shamrock and disrespected him, (if he's telling the truth that is)he doesnt seem like that bad of a guy.

Actually... he did... the term coming close is relative... and the difference between not being hurt and coming close to being tapped out are closer than you think...

And yea, Shamrock had a bunch of injuries... I think people forget the fact that he wasn't supposed to even do any athletic activities after he broke his neck wrestling in highschool... he's a walking injury lol.

I still don't like Ortiz... I think the comment about the little kid was taken out of context... what was the situation, how easily could have Tito misheard Ken, is Tito a credible source... blah so on and so on, though I am biased because I can't stand Tito, becuase he is a cocky, arrogant bastard.
