Regardless of how you feel about the people telling you this, those big pics in your signatures are annoying. I can see one time per thread. But if you post on the same thread repeatedly, have some courtesy and turn your signature off.

I agree E1am, many messageboards these days have an Avatar option which allows you to have a small signature pic instead of a huge one. Maybe the tech guys here could make this an option?

It is a term from Indian mythology/religion, meaning "an incarnation of God". The god Vishnu, one of the three major deities of Hinduism, is most well-known for having avatars. One avatar was Rama, the hero of the Ramayana, and another was Lord Krishna, who slew lots of monsters and is worshipped in his own right. Another was Buddha (Hinduism's attempt to take credit for Buddhism). Basically, it means another version of yourself, kind of like on-line personae. |
