![]() | Gore wants to kill undesirables in the womb Bush wants to kill undesirables later, on death row. They both want to buy drugs for old people. It’s just a matter of when and how much. Old people, as a group, have more money than any other demographic. Who’s going to buy my drugs? Gore wants to bet on unproven, undeveloped forms of energy. Bush wants to place pipelines, tankers, and oil derricks in every square inch of pristine wilderness that has a pool of oil underneath it. Gore wants to cut my taxes and increase my entitlements when I am a poor man. Bush wants to cut my taxes and increase my loopholes when I am a rich man. Gore thinks our military is fine the way it is. He wants to give all my money to anyone he thinks is worse off than me. Bush thinks our military is failing. He wants to give all my money to the guys smoking angel dust that are in charge of nuclear weapons. The number one thing that stuck with me after the debates……. Somebody is lying to my happy ass and I don’t like it much. Hell, I don’t like either candidate much. I would no longer characterize myself as undecided. I am disgusted on a bipartisan level. They can both blow me. |

![]() | Well, the way I see it, there's no good in "The good, The bad, The ugly". It's down to "The bad & The ugly". So you see, it IS important to vote so you can help keep The Ugly out of office.

![]() | Incredibly, Ralph Nadar was denied access to even ATTEND the presedential debate. They literally shut the door in his face when he arrived. The debate council (a bi-partisan committee) seems bent on giving us their version of reality. The actual reality: There is no longer a two-party system in this nation.

![]() | Actually, Mickey, if you think about it, the clown makeup on Gore was perfectly appropriate for this sorry circus. And the winner? Lehrer! Gore = (Bush + 40 IQ points) Bush is going to rob Peter to pay Paul, and leave us holding the bag. Make that a really dirty, polluted bag. Gore is going to rob US to pay Paul, and leave us holding the bag. Which apparently will be in a "lock box." Of course Nader's not gonna be in the debates! That would just amplify the fact that you've got Chuckles The Democratic Clown on the left, while Dubya the GOP Goof is spraying us with his low-capacity intellectual seltzer bottle on the right. Why do you think they call him a "big tent" Republican? And if Gore says "If entrusted with the presidency" one more time, I swear to &^%!(#... I say: you're entrusted to clean up after the animals. Let's get a move on it! [Edited by Tony10 on 10-04-2000 at 01:42 PM] |

![]() | I was LMFAO when they trotted out “health care reform” as an issue during the Democratic convention. Please, Clinton has run that issue up the flag pole for 2 elections now, won both of them, and every year since I pay more and more money for less and less health care. So they pull it out for the THIRD time and I’m supposed to buy into this crap? What this country needs is a truth in politics act. Why is it you can’t lie to me in the process of selling me a car, a can of soup or a bar of soap, but you can lie your ass off in the process of selling me a president? “Health care reform,” “read my lips,” on and on. Tell the American people whatever it is you think they want to hear to get elected. Once elected you can do whatever you want. All the campaign promises go out the window, they mean nothing. So if a candidate has NO obligation to actually implement the promises made during the course of a campaign, what the heck am I basing my vote on? Who’s smoother in front of the camera? Who has a better stand up routine? Which one looks the least like an aging drag queen? Wonderful. |

![]() | The general consensus in the media: it was a draw. Nobody got in any "I knew Jack Kennedy" zingers, nobody got smoked on a point of fact, Dubya didn't say anything like "subliminable" and Al Gore didn't dance. Thank God. |

![]() | I guess my favorite moment of the evening was where Gore spoke tearfully about the poor old woman who was forced wander the ditches "many hours every day" picking up cans, "just to get enough money to pay for her prescription drugs". "She's here tonight". He said. "She drove here in her Winnebego, just so she could be here". WTF?!? So... she's got enough money to pay the insurance, taxes, and gasoline on an RV but has to pick up cans to buy prescriptions?!?! I almost fell out of my chair laughing!! If Gore had the slightest modicum of common sense, he would have bitch-slapped whomever brought him that little nugget the instant they read it to him. John Bennett (who doesn't own an RV or boat and who pays for his OWN insurance). |

![]() | I couldn't get beyond Bush chewing his lip in fear and Gore looking like a whore. Who ever did his make up needs to be shot! I think they need to have a real NHB match instead of debates. |
