Quick question...when adding stripes for a BJJ belt, what types of white tape work the best? I'm currently just using white plastic tape (similar to electrical tape), but a lot of other stripes I see seem to look like cloth tape. Just wondering what works the best.

Use the cloth like tape you get in the band aid aisle. It is water proof and sticks well when wet.

Either that or hockey tape.

I prefer the cloth ones, but if you don't want to replace the first stripe or two before you've got the next belt, you can run a little superglue around the join & any edges that are lifting. Not too much though, you don't wanna turn the end of your belt into a weapon

when you switch schools dont forget to add a stripe or two to your belt
