![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There's probably a collective experience of about 100 years worth of wrestling from just a hand full of members. One of my favorite set ups is getting into a rough collar & elbow lock-up, change levels, pop up the elbow and shoot for a really tight duck under. Your opponents closest arm to you is high and akward and you can do a couple of different takedowns. For example you can spin around to get his back and do a suplex or souplet. Would love to hear from others! |

Be sure to throw all of your body weight into it. The ground does all of the rest. Not meant to be done on a friend or someone you like.

| Registered User | I'm not a huge wrestler, I enjoy grappling a bit more but I have some favored wrestling techniques: I think that one of my favorites is the duck under. I do this when I have an underhook, and overhook, wrist control, or if my opponent has wrist control. When your opponent has wrist control he usually feels safe, but if you can get his arm close and relatively high, and squeeze under it with a smooth duck under, he will usually be taken by surprise. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok, this is pretty basic, but my 'favorite' is still the lateral drop. Work in to an over/under (how you get there is an issue in itself) and, depending on how you read your opponent, either drive forward like you are trying muscle him, or keep backing up like you are trying to bail from the tie, then its feet in and liftoff! I like the fact that you kind of have to sucker him into position and then to pull it off you have to commit 100%. No half-assing it, and if you time it wrong or he sees what you're up to, you're gonna end up flat on your back!

I'm thinking someone shooting in and you sprawl or trying to tackle and you snap their head down. | |

That helps, but as long as you get him moving in the direction you eventually want to throw him you can pull it off. But if you don't time it out just right you are screwed! That's what makes it fun!
