all the stuff in that video was very basic brazilian jiu jitsu.

that guard pass seemed very risky though, i think any decent jiu jitsu guy would triangle you instantly once you had one of your hands out and the other in.

I agree on the guard pass. I hate that method, and I almost always get the triangle or arm bar as soon as people go for it that way. There's a way to monitor the leg with your elbow and keep the guy's hip fom moving, but people are too lazy to do it correctly. The methods taught in Level 2 are far better. I think they go with the method taught in Level 1 initially because soldiers have to do this with a 45 pound body armor vest on, and a lot of techniques just don't work the same under those conditions.

Hey Mike. Whats with the 1980s soccer player hair do? Haw haw haw!

Anyways. Guard pass? Why not punch the guy in the cojjonnes until he decides to let you out. It'll take about 2 seconds.

Great stuff! It's great that these soldiers are skilled in ground fighting...it may save them in these kind of situations... from a civilian point of view (I don't have any military background) the first thing I would do if I were the enemy and had some knife skills (its usually hidden) and were taken down to do ground and it was a combative situation I would draw my edge out anyway I can and thrust it in his vitals (throat, neck, groin, femorals, wrist, eyes, etc.), would these soldiers anticipate these things? or possibly another wave of more attackers?

The world police force needs this ability to subdue (arrest) people for questioning (torture) if you already destroyed him during the arrest, the Interrogators and dog handlers feel left out. ...Who wants to pile naked already beat up people on the floor to make 'em jerk off??...apparently they prefer non bruised up photography subjects for their porn collections.

The armbar drill at about 26 minutes into the video is a great one! We used to do several rounds of that every class as part of the warm up.

yeah, fact the military combatives were changed to less lethal techniques to facilitate crowd control and arrest, police duties. The people arrested often found themselves where nutter wants to be, hooded with a broomstick up thier ass and some private taking pictures of theirs

the uk military has been accused of the same kind of shit, beating, torturing, and sexually abusing iraqis. so before he points his finger at the us military, he should look at his own.

and not only that, but the uk is damn lucky the werent placed in the sunni areas, otherwise they would have suffered many more casualties.

Yeah Jackass, leave that up to me...

Now Boarspear , heres what you need to know....

The military combatives you need to know, are... wait for it... wait for it... wait for it....

    wait for it....

    Ah, I got nothing.

I'd just like to point out that was a shitty gaurd pass at the start, and I dont agree with the "taking people hostage" ideology, killing them should be your first and foremost, and if you hit him in the head with a brick, and he JUST gets knocked out, well then, hit him once more to be sure, than take him hostage.

    Oh I got it!

Military Hand to Hand combatives, heres what you need to know, use common sense, with the goal of killing your enemy.
